Customise the portal URL slug and colours
Each client is assigned a secure portal workspace. Under Client Portal -> Portal URL, configure your portal slug (e.g., '/portal/youragency'). Choose your primary brand hex colour and upload a logo on the Branding tab of the same page. This colour and logo replace Destiny Manage branding on login screens, navigation, and PDF invoices/reports. The Billing Identity tab alongside them sets the name your client invoices come from.
Configure custom domain mapping
Maintain complete branding by mapping a domain you own (such as 'portal.youragency.com') directly to your portal. On the same Client Portal -> Portal URL tab, enter your custom domain. The page then shows you the exact CNAME record to add: its name, and the value to point it at (your account's own app hostname, shown on screen). Add that record with your DNS provider (Cloudflare, GoDaddy, Route 53, etc.).
SSL certificate generation
Once your DNS record propagates (usually within a few hours, up to 24h), the system automatically provisions an SSL certificate for your domain the first time it's requested. There's no separate step or button for this - it happens on demand as soon as the domain resolves correctly.
Choosing which sections clients can see
Under Settings -> Client Portal -> Portal Menu, tick or untick the sections every client portal shows: Agreements, Change Requests, Websites, Site Health Reports, Wiki, Reports, Invoices, and Files & Assets. Everything is on by default, so unticking is how you slim a portal down. Untick Invoices, for example, if you bill outside the portal and never want clients to see the billing section.
Overriding the menu for one client
A single client often needs a different portal to the rest. Open that client, go to the Settings tab and choose Portal Menu, where each section has a Show / Hide / Default choice. Default follows whatever you set globally under Portal Menu, so you only override the sections that differ for this client. The label under each one tells you what Default currently resolves to, so you can see the effect before you change it.
Customizing white-label email templates and SMTP
Extend your agency branding to every email sent to clients. Under Settings -> Client Portal -> Client Emails, enter your custom SMTP credentials and send a test email to verify your connection. Below SMTP settings, you can select and customize individual notification templates (such as Portal Invitations, Agreement Assignments, Change Request Replies, and External Invoices). Each template has an independent Save button so modifying one email never affects or overwrites your other templates. You can format rich text inside our responsive WYSIWYG editor (which automatically converts line breaks into clean <p> paragraphs) and insert dynamic shortcodes like {{clientName}}, {{portalUrl}}, or {{invoiceAmount}} by clicking the helper badges below the editor. Note that for security and deliverability, the 2FA sign-in verification code email is a mandatory protected template and cannot be edited.
